Some of our customers have reported to us that they have received emails claiming to be from the Federal Reserve. The email to the customer says, "The wire you sent failed. Please call the Federal Reserve to verify your account information." The email then gives a phone number to call to verify your account information. These emails are fraudulent.
Some fraudulent emails are circulating that appear to be sent from NACHA, "Electronic Payments Association", or payments@nacha.org. If you receive this or any other suspicious email that may be related to your bank finances, feel free to verify it with us before clicking any links or opening any attachments.

A covert card-reader, also known as a skimmer, was recently used on a gas pump at a Murphy Oil location in Marysville, Ohio, on the dates of November 2, 2009 through November 9, 2009. If you know or think that you used your check card between these dates, please review your account statements for any fraudulent activity. If fraudulent activity has occurred, please visit any of our branches or call (740) 943-2317. If you do know that you used your check card at a Murphy Oil location between these dates and would like to receive a new card, please visit or call any of our branches.
Some of our customers have alerted us that they have received text messages claiming to be from The Richwood Banking Company. The text messages are asking for account information. Be aware that these text messages are fraudulent. We will never contact you via text message to verify account or any other personal information.
